Caroline B. (Hartig) Dion, 99, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 14, 2024.  Born in West Springfield, daughter of the late Edward and Jennie Mae (O'Brien) Hartig, she was a lifelong resident.  Caroline enjoyed working as a bookkeeper for American Saw for many years.  She was active in the Church of the Good Shepherd where she was the secretary for many years. Her husband, Alfred A. Dion died in 1972 and she was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Carl and Robert Hartig and two sisters, Alice Malone and Elizabeth Polastry.  She leaves a daughter and her husband, Debra and Raymond Bronner, a grandson, Alfred Bronner all of West Springfield and nieces and nephews.  A graveside service will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11am at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street in the Oak Garden of Bronze section.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAV, c/o The State House, Room 546, Boston, MA 02133 or to Dakin Humane Society, 171 Union St., Springfield, MA 01105.
