Carolyn M. Gomes, 36, of Agawam passed away at home on October 30, 2018. She was born in Williamsville, NY, to Stephen and Catherine (Desrosiers) Gomes on June 18,1982. She graduated from Agawam High School in 2000 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Quinnipiac University in 2004. Carolyn was most recently employed by Eversource. She was happiest spending time at the beach or walking her beloved companion,Winston in the woods and on trails. Above all, she cherished the simple things in life, including time spent with family and friends and her strong family values. She is survived by her parents, Stephen and Catherine of Feeding Hills. In addition, she leaves her brother Daniel, and sister and brother in law Laura and Sammy Hannoush. She is also survived by her loving partner, Daniel Ventura. Carolyn leaves behind her grandmother, Antoinette Gomes of Pittsfield ; her aunts and uncles, Marie and Robert Cheney of Westfield, Elaine and Stephen Eklund of Arlington, TX., Lorita and John Copley of Hopkinton, and Melinda and Joseph Lordan of Westminster and their children, her cousins. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 11:30am-2:00pm, with a celebration of her life beginning at 2:00pm at Curran-Jones Funeral Home, Cooper St., Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Dakin Humane Society of Springfield.
