Carolyn Z. (Taft) Vickers, 95, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Worcester) Taft, she grew up in Springfield and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School.  She lived in Chicopee for most of her life, recently moving to Agawam.  Carolyn worked for many years at the Dreikorns Bakery and was a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Workers International Union of America.  She loved spending time at Watch Hill, RI, family card nights, and watching her beloved Red Sox.  Her husband, Arthur M. Vickers died in 2007.  She leaves two daughters, Denise E. Supinski of Feeding Hills MA, Susan A. Vickers of Torrington, CT, a son, Arthur R. Vickers, two grandchildren, Richard J. Vickers of Holland MA, Nathan M. Vickers of Chicopee MA, and a great-grandchild, Matthew J. Vickers of Mt. Holly NC, who was the apple of her eye. The service will be Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 3pm in the chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA.  The Agawam Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.
