Catherine E. Gomes

1927 – 2014

FEEDING HILLS – Catherine E. "Betty" (Innes) Gomes, 86, died Saturday in Heritage Hall. Catherine was born in Bridgeport, CT the daughter of Peter and Lauretta (Oakley) Innes and has lived in Feeding Hills most of her life. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills and worked as an adjuster for Hi-G Electronics in Windsor Locks for many years until her retirement in 1992. Her husband Victor V. Gomes died in 1966. She leaves a son Greg Gomes and his wife Iris of Southwick; a daughter Laura G. Ayotte and her husband Roger of Pensacola, FL.; five grandchildren Julie and Bethany Ayotte, Victor, Dan, and Matt Gomes and four great grandchildren Dietrich, McKenzie, Nina and Kaitlyn Gomes.  The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9:300am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church, Feeding Hills at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral Friday from 9:30 – 10:30.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Travis J.
