Obituary

Charles H. Ingalls, 79, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family, in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Somerville, MA, son of the late Sydney and Marion (Gray) Ingalls, he grew up in East Longmeadow, and lived in Springfield for over twenty years.  Charles worked as a meat cutter for many years, retiring from Stop and Shop. He also worked First National and Edward's and was a member of the meat cutters union.  He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed cooking and NASCAR.  He was predeceased by his brother, Sydney Ingalls and two sisters, Judy Davignon and Carolyn Ingalls. Charles' family would like to offer a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses and staff who helped care for him while he was in Baystate Medical Center.  He leaves his wife of twenty-four years, Linda M. (Manferdini) Ingalls, two daughters and their husbands, Stacy L. and Tim Wilson of Ottawa, IL, Kristin L. and Stuart Martinez of Ellington, CT, three grandchildren, Stephen Gotta, Trace Wilson, Cole Wilson and his cat, Rocco.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 from 4-7pm at the West Springfied Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street.
