Charles L. Niedzielski

1933 – 2017

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Charles L. Niedzielski, 83, died Tuesday at home.  Charles was born in West Springfield, one of eleven children to the late Joseph and Sophie (Czetela) Niedzielski.  He has been a lifelong resident of West Springfield.  Charles worked as a Truck Driver/Mechanic for the Marquis Oil Company for many years before retiring from UMASS.  He was an avid golfer.  He leaves his siblings Joseph, Donald and John Niedzielski, Claire LaCroix, Irene Yeskay, and Frances Augustinowicz.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews.  He will be especially missed by nephew John Niedzielski, niece Audra LeGay, and grand nephews/niece Nicholas Niedzielski, Shane and Emily LeGay.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00pm.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 577 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
