SOUTH HADLEY - Charles J. "Jack" Suprenant, 85 died Friday, April 26th.  He was born in Chicopee on January 29, 1934, the son of the late Charles V. and Hannah (Barrett) Suprenant, of County Mayo, Ireland. He grew up in Chicopee and was a graduate of Chicopee High School and moved to South Hadley in 1962. He served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, South Hadley and was a life member of the John Boyle O'Reilly Club and the American Legion Post 337. Jack was known as the "Maytag Man" working at Gelinas Maytag in Holyoke for many years.  He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Katherine (Shea) Suprenant. He will also be missed by his family, his daughter Cynthia, his sons David, Robert, James and Steven, his six grandchildren, his sister Catherine Plasse and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Phyllis Lemke and Virginia Suprenant. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:00am from Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., South Hadley followed by Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 10:00am. Burial in St. Rose Cemetery.
