WEST SPRINGFIELD – Charlotte A. Sutton, 78, formerly of Cornflower Drive died Friday in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartford, WI and grew up in Eau Clarie, WI and has lived in West Springfield since 1962. She retired in 1992 from Kmart, where she worked as a bookkeeper. An avid Bingo player, Charlotte also was a longtime bowler and won the Western Mass Championship in 1974. She was a huge Red Sox fan. Her husband Stephen J. Sutton died in 1991. She leaves her children James and his wife Danita of Lambertville, NJ; Stephen and his wife Suzanne of Westfield; Joey and his wife Adrienne of West Springfield and Susan LeBlanc and her husband Robert of West Springfield; two brothers Jack and his wife Neva and Larry and his wife Louise. She also leaves eight beloved grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Alexanna, Rachel, Ethan, Jason, Joshua and Carlee. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.
