Obituary

West Springfield-God needed an angel and so he called upon Cheryl Ann (Hills) Pieciak to heaven on Monday August 17, 2015. It gives us some comfort knowing that her mom, Mildred Hills, whom she missed dearly was waiting at Heaven's gate with open arms. She was born in Springfield to the late Edward and Mildred Hills. She was a communicant of St. Anns Church in West Springfield where she resided all her life. In her early years she enjoyed being a homemaker. She prided herself on taking care of her family and her home. She loved a good recipe book and there was always a great meal or aroma of something baking in the oven to her family's delight. Later in her life she worked at the Springfield Civic Center where she put her kind nature to work. She truly loved her job. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her former husband Joseph Pieciak with whom she had a special bond. She carried a special place in her heart for him until the day she got her wings and now until eternity. Her beloved children, who will miss the love of their mother, Cindy and her husband Ashley Jones, Joseph Pieciak Jr. and his wife Dawn, Denise Pieciak and Tina Mazza, her cherished grandchildren who will treasure the special moments with their "Noni", Krista, Ricky, Tony, Bobby, Brett, Vinny (her little man), Jessica, Joey, Jonny, and Chinelle and their newest addition great-grandson Avien. Even though you will miss your Noni her wings will wrap themselves around each of you every night and you will feel the presence until the end of time. She also leaves her beloved sister Barbara and Husband Edward Pariseau and beloved brother Edward "Buster" Hills Jr. and wife Linda. Even though life got busy Barb and Buster were always there for their sister Cheryl when it mattered most. She carried such fond memories of both and now she will take and share those memories with their beloved mom, Mildred in heaven. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and special cousins. She gave so much of herself for the well-being of her family. She was the most kind, gentle soul and even though we will miss her she deserves to be at peace now! Mom, Noni, Cheryl, we were blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for loving us. A special thanks to the staff at Baystate Medical ICU for your TLC. The funeral service will be Friday at 11am at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 4-7 pm. In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Clark School for Hearing and Speech. 45 Round Hill Rd. Northampton, MA 01060. For more information please go to www.curranjones.com.
