Christine M. Lapinski
1985 – 2026
West Springfield – Christine Marie Lapinski, 40, a lifelong resident of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the daughter of Leonard L. Lapinski and the late Nancy M. Lapinski. A graduate of West Springfield High School, Christine grew up working on her family farm, Gooseberry Farm.
A devoted daughter, fiancée, mother, and friend, Christine leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and love. Above all her accomplishments, her greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a mother. She cherished watching her children grow and celebrating every milestone, no matter how big or small.
Christine loved all things Christmas and was known for beginning the countdown each year in June. Her kitchen was always the heart of her home, where she created delicious meals that brought family and friends together to share stories, comfort, and plenty of laughter. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will remain a guiding light to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
In addition to her father, Leonard, Christine is survived by her fiancé, Joe Morrissette; her two daughters, Ava and Brooke Morrissette; her stepson, Tyler Morrissette; and her three brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Heather Lapinski, Todd and Jackie Lapinski, and Eddie and Crystal Lapinski. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Michelle and her husband, Tim Raney; Renee and her husband, Daniel Poreda; and Marlene Sandora.
Christine also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews: Stanley, Megan, Emily, Eddie Lapinski Jr., Aaron, Cody, Scarlett, Colton Dallaire, Shane, Madisyn, Aaron Raney, Zachary, Lilly, Sophia Morrissette, and Emma Johnson, as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 9, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Thomas the Apostle Church for a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 10, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine's memory to Boston Children's Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
