West Springfield - Christopher S. Green, 53, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Chris "Greener" was raised in the Hungry Hill section of Springfield, attended Our Lady of Hope, and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1988. He was a carpenter, previously with Western Builders. Chris was an amazing and devoted husband, brother, uncle, cousin, son, and friend. Chris was a friend to everyone he met and touched the lives of so many.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife Lisa (Stevens) Green, who was his rock and never left his side through a long, courageous battle with cancer. Chris will be missed dearly by his siblings, Joseph Green III, Margaret Cote and her husband Michael, Martyn Green and his wife Kathy and Sarah Peterson, as well as his father-in-law Robert Stevens, brother-in-law Michael Stevens and Kim, sister-in-law Laurie Stevens and David. Chris was pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Joseph Green. Chris adored his many nieces, nephews and great nephew, and leaves behind cousins, a large family, and countless friends to cherish his memory.

Chris' greatest joy was spending time with Lisa and with their family and friends. Always the life of any party, he was blessed to have many lifelong and loyal friends from The Hill, in addition to the many new friendships built when he and Lisa started their lives together in West Springfield.

Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday April 2, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Family and Friends are invited to meet at St. Thomas the Apostle Church on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 10:00 am for the Liturgy of Christian Burial.
