Obituary

Chunsim (Kim) Choi, 90, died peacefully on 2/20/2020,  Thursday afternoon surrounded by her loving family. Chunsim was born and raised in Seoul, Korea and has lived in the Springfield area for the past 34 years. She was a hard working mother and a loving and generous grandmother. She was always quick to smile to anyone she met and easy to befriend any strangers. She taught her children to share not only love but also even small things you have. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Her husband Chom Bong Choi died in 2004. She leaves behind her sons, Doo Kyung Choi, Chang Heon Choi, and daughters, Kyung Hee Kang, Maria Song and Micki Choi; a brother Hyung Sun Kim, nine grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 6:00pm at Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main St., West Springfield, MA 01001. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 10:00am with Liturgy in St. John the Evangelist Church at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.
