Claire (Pysz) Bedard, 94, formerly of South Hadley, MA passed away peacefully on April 28, 2019, at Vestal Park in Vestal, NY. She lived in Apalachin, NY for the past 7 years with her daughter & son-in-law, Cheryl & Ralph Paquette, who will miss her dearly. Claire was pre-deceased by her husband, George J. Bedard, her parents, John & Julia Pysz, her daughter Judith A. Moran, her son George J. Bedard Jr, a grandson John Bedard, brothers Charles Pysz, Stanley Pysz & Walter Pysz, as well as sisters Jayne Dyman, Dorothy Savard, Alice Pysz, Amelia Marek & Marcella Lemoine. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law Cheryl & Ralph Paquette of Apalachin NY, 8 grandchildren & spouses: James (Tammy) Moran of Cinncinati Ohio, Laurie (James) Vadnais of Florida, Brian (Lynn) Moran of Southampton MA, Daniel (Natacha) Paquette of Ashburn VA, Michael (Michele) Paquette of Philadelphia PA, Kimberly (Timothy) Allar of Lovettsville VA, George J (Cassie) Bedard III of Westfield MA, and Ethan Bedard of Chester MA. Claire was also loved by 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her loving sister RoseAnn Steiger of South Hadley.and many nieces & nephews. Claire worked for many years at Dinn Bros.Trophies in Holyoke. She enjoyed her time spent with the So. Hadley Golden Agers and Travel Club and was proud to be president for several years. She was an avid reader. She loved traveling & spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed BINGO and trips to the Casino. Claire was very organized and enjoyed taking charge of things, but she was also very thoughtful and would help out anyone who needed her. Family will receive friends at Curran-O'Brien funeral home on Wednesday, from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Private funeral service will be held on Thursday.
