Clara M. (Schmanke) Hildebrand, 97, died Friday at Wingate in West Springfield. She was born in Spenceport, NY, daughter of the late Leslie and Clara (Faker) Schmanke, grew up in Greece, NY before moving to Rochester, NY following her marriage. Clara retired from the Rogers Middle School as Manager of Cafeteria following 22 years of service. She moved to West Springfield in 2003. Claire enjoyed life and loved to be with people. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves two sons David Hildebrand and his wife Lori of Naples, FL and Gerald Hildebrand and his wife Bonnie of Winter Springs, FL, four granddaughters Kara Reardon and her husband Tim, Kristan Brosseau and her husband David, Erin DeFrancesco and her husband Sean and Carlie Engstrom and her husband Justin, three great granddaughters Kaitlyn and Sydney Brosseau and Madison Reardon, her sister Jean Felton of Largo, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raphael R. Hildebrand and her sister Charlotte Lotosky.
