Clarice I. (Giguere) Benerakis passed away on September 5, 2023 at the age of 101 and 8 months.  She was born on January 19, 1922 in Chicopee to Eugene and Flora (Chamberlain) Giguere.  In Clarice's family there were eleven brothers and sisters with her being the oldest, and Clarice somehow managed to outlive all of the them as well as all her friends.  Her husband Antonios passed away in May of 2016. She leaves a daughter Charlene Labrecque and her husband Bob of Belchertown, a son Robert Benerakis and his wife Tracy of Easthampton, she also leaves five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. At some point, she babysat all her grandchildren even helping to raise them while their parents worked and she loved everyone of them most dearly. She worked for eighteen years at the American Bosch and had other assorted jobs in her career. Clarice loved to camp at Hammonassett State Beach in Conn., loved knitting, reading, crocheting and most of all the Patriots and Tom Brady. Burial will be at the Springfield Street Cemetery in Feeding Hills and the interment will be private at the convenience of the family.  The AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME is in charge.
