FEEDING HILLS _ Clothilde M. "Tillie" (Janelle) Colburn, 93, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. Tillie was born in Charny, Quebec, Canada and had lived in Springfield before moving to Feeding Hills 70 years ago. She was a 1942 graduate of Cathedral High School and served with the United States Navy WAVES during World War II. She briefly worked at Gilbert & Barker and Buxton's, was active at the Agawam Senior Center and belonged to the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Her husband Glenn Colburn died in 1986; she leaves a son Norman, daughter Gail Colburn both of Feeding Hills, two grandchildren John and Jamie Colburn, a niece and a nephew Janice and Guy Lessard. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her brother Sylvere Janelle and sister Rachel Gosselin. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church, 1103 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills Thursday at 9:00am with burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm at the Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper Street, Agawam. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
