1939 - 2012

WEST SPRINGFIELD - Constance Ann Niedzielski of West Springfield died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at home surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her loving husband Chet in 1997. Connie was the daughter of the late Celia and Dolor Bussiere of Hadley and was a graduate of Hopkins Academy and Bay Path College. A communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke, she had been an active member of the Choir for 15 years, she later became a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Chicopee. She was a member of the Polish Women's Junior League and a 19 year member and Past President of the Springfield Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals where she also served on the New England Divisional Board. She was a member of the Holyoke Community Business Advisory Board for several years. Connie retired in 1998 from MassMutual where she worked in the Northeast Office of the Real Estate Division in Springfield. Previously, she worked for the West Springfield Public School System in the office of Vocational/Occupational Education. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her children, John J. and his wife Mary Lou of Huntington, her daughter Audra M. LeGay, and her husband Jeff of Loveland, Colorado and her beloved grandchildren Nicholas Niedzielski and Emily and Shane LeGay, two sisters, Dolores Berestka and Jackie Bussiere of Surprise, AZ, and a brother Ray of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, along with many nieces and nephews and her many friends from near and far. She was predeceased by a brother Tom of Colorado. She is survived by many family members whom she loved so dearly. Special thanks from Connie's children go to Chuck Niedzielski for his unending commitment, patience and extraordinary care that allowed Connie to remain in her home during her lengthy illness. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Stanislaus Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
