Constance Irene (St. John) O'Connor, 82, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Wingate at Springfield. Connie was born in Feeding Hills, MA, on December 1, 1934 to the late William and Constance Dorothy St. John. She was spirited, fun-loving, and personable: a fixture at the Boyle for cards with her late husband Thomas O'Connor of Springfield, a friendly presence in her work at the West Springfield Town Hall, Mass Mutual, and most recently Costco, and a lifelong friend to her old neighbors on Elm Street in West Springfield. Connie's passions in life were faith and family. She leaves six loving children: Michael and Andy Sakowicz of Ware; Ann Stephenson and her husband David of Cape Cod; Suzanne Darby of Chicopee; Mary Minie and her husband Jeff of Ludlow; and Evelyn Aseltine and her husband Rob of Longmeadow. "Grammy" will be sorely missed by her 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is the last of her generation of St. Johns, having been predeceased by her siblings Marie, Francis, Pito, and her dear brother Georgie. Connie's life will be celebrated with a reception for family and friends from 10:00-11:30AM on Friday, December 1 at Beulah Baptist Church, 755 Prospect St., Chicopee, MA , followed by a memorial service in her honor at noon. Burial will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children-Springfield.
