1946 – 2024

West Springfield – Cristina (Ortiz) Rosado, 77 died peacefully Saturday evening surrounded by her loving family.  Cristina was born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, one of nine children of the late Eleuterio and Julia Rodriguez Ortiz.  She grew up in Puerto Rico and lived in Springfield before moving to West Springfield in 2008.  She was a PCA, but mostly was a stay-at-home mom to her four children and many grandchildren.  Cristina was a military wife and traveled extensively with her husband.  She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening and was known to scratch a few tickets.  She was a longtime and active member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Springfield.  Cristina is remembered by all she met for her infectious laugh and her love of people.  Her husband Pablo Rosado of 54 years died in 2017.  She leaves her children, Jackeline Rosado and her partner Demonde, Paulita Hannah and her partner Joe, Alex Rosado and his partner Collette and Raul Rosado and his wife Melissa; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.  She was the sister of Julia, Flora, Samuel, Ana Cecilia, Ana Lourdes Ortiz, Dolores and Maria Ramos and the late Miguel Angel Ortiz.   She was the favorite aunt to many of her nieces and nephews.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 8:30am with Liturgy in Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:30am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
