West Springfield – Dale S. Barnes, 63, of Jacksonville, OR died Monday in West Springfield at the home of his brother while on vacation. Dale was born on Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, was raised in West Springfield, graduating from West Springfield High School. He went to Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and started working as a Chef in Boston, he then traveled to the West Coast working as a Chef, settling in Oregon 30 years ago. He leaves his wife Margaret (Huetter) Barnes; three children Peter and his wife Stacie, Zachary and his wife Amber and Grace Barnes; a brother David Barnes and his wife Gail. Dale also leaves his four grandchildren Charis, Olivia, Cedar and Esme. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield United Methodist Church Saturday April 30th at 2:00pm.
