Daniel E. Lancour, 60, died suddenly at home on Saturday. He was born in Springfield, grew up in Agawam and graduated from Agawam High School in 1974. He started working at ATT in 1974 and retired from Verizon in 2008. Dan enjoyed hockey, softball, paintball and especially fantasy football. He was a longtime Yankee, Giants and Rangers fan. He leaves his wife Dawn (Marren) Lancour, two daughters Ashley E. Lancour and Bri D. Maynard (Keith), a grandson Jacob Lancour, his mother Katherine Lancour, siblings Thomas (John), James (Dina), Susan Lancour (Teri), Robert (Ann Marie), Donald and Joan Longhi (Michael), brother-in-law James Marren (Dennis), sisters-in-law Jill Forbes (Bill) and Doreen Pellegrini (Domenic) and mother-in-law Diane Fales, as well as many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 9am from Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10am. Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
