CHICOPEE - Darlene G. Shipley, 70, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at home.  Born in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Earl and Vivian (Deneesha) White, she lived in West Springfield for many years and in Chicopee for the last ten years.  She was a woman who liked to go out dancing and cooking and loving life with her long-term boyfriend Richard Ross who was predeceased along with her three sisters, Barbara Steadman, Lorraine Higgins, Camelia White, a brother Bobby White and a son, Anthony Jefferson. She leaves behind a son, Earl Jefferson of Florida, two daughters, Lorraine Norton of New York, Jeannie Shipley and son-in-law Kevin Houle of Chicopee and three grandchildren, Seth Marrin, Julia Houle and Jayda Houle and a number of nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5-7 at the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street with a Funeral Service at 7pm.  The burial will be private.
