West Springfield-David B. Alexander, 84 died Wednesday at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke. He was born in Springfield the son of the late Burton and Anna (Edwards) Alexander. He grew up in Springfield and lived many years in West Springfield. David was a truck driver for Astro Chemicals for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. David served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Pauline (Saville) Alexander, his sons Anthony of Southampton, David of Blandford, his daughters Michele Belden of Florida and Jean Courniotes and her husband Greg of Naples, FL. He will be missed by his 9 grandchildren Michele Graves, Christina Belden, Nicholas Courniotes, Ashley Alexander, Stacy Grimes, Angelina Miranda and Alyssa, Audra and Erin Alexander and 7 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with burial at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
