July 10, 1959 – February 28, 2022
David A Williams, 62, passed away in Freeport, Maine after a sudden illness on Feb 28, 2022. David was born into an Air Force family in San Bernardino, CA on July 10, 1959. He was a graduate of UMass and a science teacher in Southbridge and Northbridge for over 25 years. He was an adventurer beginning in the 1970's with Experiment With Travel (EWT) and loved kayaking, rafting, caving, rock climbing and anything else that sounded like fun. In 1978, David and 3 friends bicycled from Springfield MA to Los Angeles, CA. His family loved camping and travel and ventured all over the United States as well as internationally. David was a creative and animated teacher that inspired interest in the wonders of science for countless students. He made jokes about everything and was a prankster that kept everyone laughing. He leaves his loving wife of 29 years, Susan Gill, and their two wonderful children, Madisen and Kevin of Southbridge, MA. He also leaves his two brothers, Jordan Williams, of Dunedin, FL and Paul Williams of Longmeadow, MA. He was predeceased by his father, Ralph R Williams, in July 2013 and his mother Georgia (Jordan) Williams in August 2021. In lieu of flowers, David would have appreciated people making donations to New England Organ Donor Services. David: "You will be missed forever". Funeral services will be private.
