WARE – Deborah M. (Bruce) Chelkonas, 69, died Friday in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her family and friends. Debbie was born in Columbia, CT and had lived in West Springfield most of her life. She moved to Ware 20 years ago and had worked in the Springfield area as a bartender and waitress for most of her career. She was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge in Chicopee and Port Charlotte, FL. Her husband Ralph M. Chelkonas died in 2007. She leaves three sons Bruce and his wife Erika of Ludlow, Brent and partner Todd of Philadelphia and Bryan and his wife Dianna of Franklin. She also leaves a sister Kitty O'Neil; a sister-in-law Carol Hubbard; four grandchildren Bruce Aaron, Brianna, Kyle and Nathan; a niece Kelly Dias and nephew Kenny O'Neil. The family would like to thank Deb's dear friend Debbie Gunger for her love and care given the past few months. Family and friends are welcome to a gathering at the family's lake house, 94 Shoreline Drive in Ware, this Sunday, June 9th from Noon – 5:00pm.
