Diana L. Chase

1947 – 2023

West Springfield – Diana L. (Guerin) Chase, 76, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon at home. Diana was born in Springfield, the daughter of the late Leo and Germaine (Coulombe) Guerin. She grew up in Chicopee Falls before moving to West Springfield in 1977. Diana was a graduate of Cathedral High School and St. Joseph's College in Hartford. She spent her 35-year teaching career at both Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Agawam High School. Her greatest joy was attending her kids' school and sporting events, and more recently the school and sporting events of her grandchildren. She was a longtime member of the Springfield Country Club and especially looked forward to spending time with her dear friends at Thursday Night Book Club. She also loved spending time with her family at their home on Cape Cod. She leaves her loving husband of 55 years Donald R. Chase, and four devoted children Elizabeth A. Chase (and David Flynn), Holly L. Chase (and William Brearley), Donald R. Chase and his wife Amy and Amy Desrosiers and her husband Christopher. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Kiley, Kate, Avery, Claire, Christopher, and Carly. Besides her parents, Diana was predeceased this past December by her brother Robert Guerin. Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Wednesday from 9:30am – 11:00am with Liturgy at St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 11:30am, followed by burial at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
