Diane E. Fillion

WEST SPRINGFIELD- Diane Elizabeth Frederick Fillion, 58, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening (November 16, 2011). Born March 9, 1953 in New London, CT to Robert and Sonia McGugan, she soon moved to Wethersfield, CT where she grew up and lived for most of her life. From 2005 to the present she was a resident of West Springfield, MA with her loving husband Edward Fillion. She is survived by her daughters and granddaughter: Sarah Washburn, her husband Nicholas, and their daughter Elyza of Wethersfield, CT and Carrie Anne Frederick Lovejoy and her husband Benjamin of West Hartford, CT. She also leaves behind her mother Sonia McGugan of Uncasville, CT, her younger sister Nancy Jalbert, her husband David and their children Elizabeth Jalbert Ryan, her husband Matthew and Samuel Jalbert all of Windsor, CT. As well as, Edward's loving family, children and grandchildren. Diane was also predeceased by her loving husband and father to her children David Frederick. As a graduate of Wethersfield High School and loyal employee of Travelers and United Health Care, Diane loved to spend her time with her family, camping and at the beach. Calling hours will be held on Sunday (November 20, 2011) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Curran Jones Funeral Home on 109 Main St. West Springfield MA, 01089. Her funeral will commence at 10 a.m. on Monday at Mittineague Congregational Church on 1840 Westfield St. West Springfield, MA 01089.
