Diane Marie (Farwell) Miller entered peacefully into eternal rest after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 5th. Diane was born June 14, 1958 to Caroline (Hoffman) and the late William Farwell in Springfield, MA. She was raised in the Agawam area before spending many years in Columbia, NJ, Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL, where she served as a preschool teacher. Diane cherished the time she spent with her family, with whom she travelled the world exploring cities, hiking mountains, playing golf, and, whenever possible, relaxing in the sun.  She leaves her soul-mate of 35 years, Michael J. Miller, and her devoted children, Heather (Mike) Martin of Dallas, TX, Adam Miller of Toronto, ON, and Scott Miller of Columbia, SC. She also leaves her loving mother, Caroline Farwell of Feeding Hills, her sister, Karen (Carl) Roberts of Feeding Hills and brothers William (Kristina) Farwell of Agawam, and Michael (Tina) Farwell of Feeding Hills. Diane's calling hours will be held Tuesday, October 9th at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, October 10th at 11 a. m. at St. Thomas Church in West Springfield.  Donations in Diane's memory may be made to CityOfHope.org in the confidence that together we will find a cure for cancer. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Baystate GYN Oncology for the kind and compassionate care given to Diane and her family, and the nurses and doctors at the Cancer Center at NorthWestern Medicine in Lake Forest, IL for their years of care and support.
