Diann L. (Ferrero) Gazar, 80, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 1, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Attilio and Jennie (Castelli) Ferrero, she attended St. Thomas the Apostle grammar school and was a 1962 graduate of Agawam High School.  Diann retired from J. C. Penny as a sales associate. Previously she worked for the former Ames Department Store, Zayre Department Store, and as a nurse's aid at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She had also worked for Agway.  She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and previously the former St. Anthony of Padua Church.  Diann's family would like to thank the caring staff of Baystate Hospice for the kindness shown to her. She leaves her husband of fifty-nine years, Joseph R. Gazar, a son and his wife, Russell J. and Stephanie Gazar of Las Vegas, four daughters and their husbands, Ann Marie and Daniel Bean of Feeding Hills, Regina and Kevin Varney of Wilbraham, Karen P. and Joseph Butland of Brookline, NH, Julie L. and Brian Griffith of Three Rivers, two brothers, Neil Ferrero of Agawam, Raymond Ferrero of Las Vegas, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Raimondi Ferrero and Donald Ferrero and a sister, Madelynn Tokarz.  The funeral will be Tuesday at 9am from the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street with a Mass at Sacred Heart Church at 10.  The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
