Dianna J. (Murdock) Gagnon, 68, passed away comfortably and surrounded by loved ones on Monday December 21, 2020. Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Rodney and Helen Murdock, Ethel (Davis) Lawson. Dianna enjoyed a big crowd, like when she went to play Bingo any given night of the week. She enjoyed small crowds too and gathered every Thursday with her friends to play cards. However the crowd most important to her was her family. Dianna appreciated all types of music and really enjoyed dancing. When she heard a song she really liked, she just had to "shake it", even if it was in the grocery store. Dianna adored all animals and would feed the birds and squirrels outside her window. She had a special bond with her dog, Sonny. She rescued him and he rescued her. They brought joy to each other's lives. They enjoyed their walks together and hanging out with friends in the courtyard. Dianna had a super power and that was her hugs. She truly gave the best hugs. Even if you were just a friend of a family member and she was meeting you for the first time, she welcomed you with open arms and called you "family".  She gave hugs like no one else can and those hugs will be surely missed.  She leaves her two daughters Deanna Gagnon of Agawam and Jana Beach of West Springfield, three brothers Rodney Murdock Jr., Jeff Murdock and Stuart Murdock, two sisters Laura Sternowski and Blythe Sherman and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers James Murdock, Ric Marsh and sister Donna Record. Calling hours will be Monday December 28 ^th at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm followed by a private funeral home service. Social distancing and masks will be required.
