Dionisios "Danny" Roumeliotis, of West Springfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 15, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on July 15, 1932, in Kastorio, Greece, to Giorgios and Chrisoula (Roumbas) Roumeliotis, Dionisios lived a long and meaningful life defined by hard work, resilience, and an unwavering love for his family.

He proudly served in the Greek Army before journeying to the United States by way of Canada, where he met the love of his life, Irene (Alexopoulos). Married for 62 years, Dionisios and Irene built a beautiful life together - first in Springfield, then settling in West Springfield in 1989.

Dionisios is survived by his beloved wife Irene; his son George Roumeliotis and his wife Jennifer Biseinere; his daughter Chrisoula Mahida and her husband Vijay Mahida; and his five cherished grandchildren: Daniel, James, and Chloe Roumeliotis, and Irini and Prem Mahida. He is also survived by his brothers Yianni and Ilias Roumeliotis, his sister Panagiota, and their families. He was predeceased by his sister Despina.

Known for his quiet strength, deep faith, and devotion to his family, Dionisios leaves behind a legacy of love, tradition, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A funeral service will be held on April 21, 2025 at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, 22 St. George Road, Springfield, Massachusetts. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, with a funeral liturgy to follow at 11 AM. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street in Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dionisios' memory to St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, Springfield.
