Obituary

Dolores "Tish" Blier passed away peacefully on March 9th surrounded by family.  She was 87. Dolores was the daughter of Louis and Letitia Morace. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Her parents were Italian and Irish immigrants, a heritage she was proud to carry.  Her brothers and sisters are Mary, Louis, George, Anthony, Peter, Paula, Robert, Charles, Andrew, Joseph, Evaldo and Lena. After her marriage to Herbey Blier, she never remarried, but instead remained dedicated to her work and caring for him as he aged. As a School of Hard Knocks graduate, she became the business owner.  She is described by many as a feisty and strong-willed woman. Dolores was a long-time resident of West Springfield, where for the last 20 years, she worked as a caregiver for Western Mass Elder Care. Dolores is also known for speaking her mind, whether playing cards or keeping conversations real. She was known for not holding back her opinion and telling it like it is. She loved her lotto numbers, the casino, tag sales, and her jewelry.  She was always on the lookout for a good bargain, even if she had to negotiate for it. Dolores went by many titles; however, she was most proud of being called mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and most notably "Crazy Memere". You were always welcome at her table, and you never left her home hungry. Around that table, her friends and neighbors became family. She leaves behind her daughter, Marline Claremont and husband, Robert.  Her granddaughter, Nicole Coyer, and Great Grand-daughters, Rhea Coyer, Genevieve, Payton Charette, and Bella Chevalier.  A close nephew Robert Morace and Wife, Kathy, Wayne Charette Sr. and Patty Martin. As well as many other family and friends. She is predeceased by her grandson, Wayne "CJ" Charette, with whom she will reunite. Services will be held at Curran Jones Funeral Home in West Springfield on SUNDAY March 24th from 11:00 – 2:00, Reception to follow.
