Heaven received another angel on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Dolores A. (Borgatti) Reed, 94, passed away peacefully while under the care of her children, Ricky and Debbie. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Ettore and Mary (Rosso) Borgatti, she was a lifelong resident of Agawam and a graduate of Agawam High School. She worked in the cafeteria at Agawam High School for twenty-seven years. After her retirement, she continued to work at Riverside Park. Dolly lived a simple life, always doing for others, especially her grandchildren. No baby ever went unrocked in her arms and as they got older she kept them close by tempting them with cookies and candy. To cherish her memory, she leaves her son, Richard Reed and his wife Carol of Feeding Hills, her daughter, Debbie Dollar of Wilbraham, her sister and her husband, Barbara and Smith Rovelli of Feeding Hills, her grandchildren, Tammy Newton and her husband Mark, Heather Pirnie, Jason and his wife Evette Reed, Travis Reed, seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Reed, a brother and his wife, Richie and Pat Borgatti, a baby sister, Violet and her faithful dog, Bonita. A graveside service will be Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:30am at Springfield Street Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is assisting the family.
