WEST SPRINGFIELD – Donald R. Albee, 94, of Southworth Street died Monday in Mercy Medical Center. Donald was born in Concord, NH, grew up in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield for 70 years. He owned his own route and developed territories for the Table Talk Pie Company until his retirement in 1977. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He leaves his loving wife of 72 years Marilyn (Larivee) Albee; a son John C. Albee and his wife Sharon of Micco, FL; two daughters Kathleen "Kate" Pagella and her husband Carl of Columbia, SC and Donna Schmidt and husband Edmund of Palm City, FL; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00pm.
