Donald L. Carvill, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 5, 2024. Donald was born on February 8, 1936 in Worcester, MA and was the son of the late Robert and Dora (Cross) Carvill. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Don was retired from the Eastern States Exposition as their Head of Carpentry and before that, he was the owner of his own Woodworking shop in Agawam and specialized in furniture pieces and clock making. Don's favorite things were sports, especially the New York Yankees, where he could rattle off stats like he was on the field himself. He also loved going on cruises and traveling. His winters you always find Donald at his winter home in Largo, FL. Don loved his family fiercely and you could always find him at the head of the table at all family dinners, Sunday breakfast and family events. He is the beloved husband of 43 years to Kathleen (Moccio) Carvill. Don leaves his son Robert and his wife Corinna of Port Charlotte, FL., and his daughter Kristin O'Connor and her husband Michael of Apex, NC., his three beautiful grandchildren; Matthew, Erin and Jack O'Connor. Don also leaves three brothers-in-law; Louis (wife Joan) Moccio, Albert (wife Janice) Moccio and Robert (wife Carol) Moccio, along several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who he adored and loved. On top of everything he accomplished and did in his life he was also a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills. He was a man of family and faith. Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY 9:30 AM at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper St., Agawam, followed by a 10:30 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield St., Feeding Hills. Burial with military honors will follow in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held MONDAY from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Don's name to the Shriner's Children's New England, 516 Carew St., Spfld, MA 01104 or to Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield St., Feeding Hills.
