WEST SPRINGFIELD – Donald A. Cataldo, 48, died peacefully at home Saturday morning. Donald was born in Holyoke the son of Margaret and the late Donato Cataldo. He has lived in West Springfield his entire life, graduating from West Springfield High School in 1985. He was a talented self-employed carpenter and contractor who enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being outdoors. He also enjoyed playing guitar with his nephews and taking them to amusement parks. He leaves his mother Margaret (Lawson) Cataldo; sister Suzanne and her husband of Connecticut, two nephews Dominick and Matthew and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 9:00am with Liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. For more details please visit curranjones.com.
