Donald R. Devins, 74, known by many as Chipper, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by family. Born in Springfield, son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Theriaque) Devins, he was a 1967 graduate of West Springfield High School.  He lived in West Springfield most of his life. Donald worked as a custodian for the West Springfield School System for thirty-five years, retiring in 2000.  He was an avid sports enthusiast, and loved spending time with his family and loved making people laugh.  He leaves his wife of twenty-nine years, Theresa (Formica) Devins. Three children and their spouses, JoAnn and Rondale Willis of Cherryville, NC, Donald R Jr. And Melissa Devins of Chicopee, and Shawn R. and Brianna Devins of West Springfield, three sisters, Rose A. Zimmerman, Dorothy J. Devins, Theresa Brannkarr all of West Springfield, five grandchildren, Emilee, Eli, Ava, Robert, Charles and nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent F. Devins and Charles Devins.  Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield followed by a funeral home service at 7pm.  The burial will be private.
