Donald R. Stover, DMD, 89, beloved husband for 67 years of Virginia (Ritzmann) Stover, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019. He was born and raised in Springfield, MA, son of the late Herman Arnold and Beatrice (Conner) Stover. He graduated from American International College and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and completed graduate studies in oral surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. He served as Captain in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserves for eight years. He practiced dentistry and oral surgery for many years until his retirement to Phoenix, Arizona in 1988. Don later returned to New England where he became an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Women's Basketball. He is survived by his wife and his daughters, Nancy Kosiorek and her husband Joseph of Pelham, MA, Lori Yu and her husband Leslie of Farmington, CT, and his son Mark of Kinnelon, NJ. He adored his grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Scott and Steven, and his three great grandchildren, Chase, Blake and Henry. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam, burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Springfield. There are no visiting hours.
