Donna Jean Hyland-Sanborn, 60, passed away peacefully, with loved ones by her side, on June 25, 2017.  Born on Sept. 21, 1956 to Clara (Carzello) Sanborn and Donald J. Hyland.  She was predeceased by her father in 1993 and her "Dad", Wayne Sanborn Sr., in 2004.  Donna lived in West Springfield most of her life and attended Baraco Day Program.  Donna traveled many places and her favorite was Lake George in New York.  She went on cruises, attended all the dances and family reunions and parties.  Donna loved getting all dressed up, getting her nails done and shopping.  She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sisters Ann Theriaque, Carol Hyland and Kris Carzello and her husband Jim; her brothers Wayne Sanborn Jr. and Kevin Sanborn; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her very much.  Donna also leaves her "other family" the staff at 50 Oxford Place: Dennis Radford, Yaremi Ramirez, Kate Hood, Tatiana, Sue, Deb, Erika, Chrissy, Stephanie, Lisa, Emily, Jessica, Iesha, Hatianna, Moira, Rosemary, Melanie and Jackie.  We could not thank them enough for their kind and loving care.  Donna was a special light in all our lives and we will miss her very much.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Donna's memory to BCArc, 395 South Street, Pittsfield 01202 or to the West Springfield Senior Center.
