Doris Kavanaugh

Hampden- Doris L. (Bouchard) Kavanaugh, 98, died peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born in West Springfield, lived in Hampden most of her life before moving to East Longmeadow 14 years ago. She worked as a seamstress for many years and also in the Hampden School System. Doris loved to sew, crochet and draw. She was predeceased by her husband Woodrow Kavanaugh in 2000. She leaves a son Walter Kavanaugh of West Suffield, CT, a brother Robert Bouchard of Westfield, two granddaughters Maureen Kavanaugh of Westfield and Colleen Evans of Eureka, CA, two great grandchildren Morgan Pensiero and Jeremy Nagy, many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. She also was predeceased by her siblings Oscar and Paul Bouchard and Pauline Jodoin. The funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00am in St. Mary's Church, Hampden followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
