Doris Helen Murray, 90, died Saturday March 27, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Lucy (Westerberg) Inman and was born on September 12, 1930 in Springfield, MA.  She married the late Earl Osborne Murray on October 2, 1954 and were married for 59 years.  They raised their family in Springfield, MA prior to moving to Florida, North Carolina, Southwick MA, and Virginia in retirement.  After Earl's passing in 2014, Doris moved back to the Springfield area to be closer to family.  Doris worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant at Eastern Equipment Sales and later as the Administrative Assistant to the Academic Dean at Springfield College.  Her hobbies were reading, sewing, crocheting, counted cross stitch and cooking.  She was an active, charter member of Church in the Acres (Baptist) singing in the choir, etc.

She is survived by her two children:  Glenn Murray (wife Diane) of Southwick MA and Joann (Murray) Ballard (husband Larry) of Hamilton, VA. Four grandchildren: Shelly and Nicole Ballard of Hamilton VA; Heather and David Murray of Southwick, MA. Three sisters: Jackie LaFrance, Janice Tracy, and Evelyn Blakesley.  Two brothers: Ernest Inman and Clifton Inman.  She was predeceased by brother Charles Inman.  A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Agawam, MA on Friday, April 2 ^nd.
