Doris S. (Camossi) Williams, 93, died Sunday at the Jewish Nursing Home. She was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Bartholomew and Mary (Tassinari) Camossi and was a lifelong resident of West Springfield. She was predeceased by her husband John "Jack" Williams, Jr., her son John "Jay" Williams, III and her sisters Nancy Merlini and her husband Chuck, Evelyn Raschi and her husband Tony and Edna Klicka and her husband Bernie. She leaves her son Rick, his wife Susan and her grandchildren Jack and Reilly all of Suffield, CT, her brother Bart Camossi and his wife Ann of West Springfield and nieces and nephews Maria LaRochelle, Mike Klicka, Mona DePonde, Jody and Chuck Merlini and Mark, Lori and Lisa Camossi. Doris was a passionate worker and worked at many establishments over the years including the Fiber Box, Riverside Park which later became Six Flags for over 50 years, The Big E for many years where she was honored with the Host of the Day Award in 2014. She also worked at Richard's Grinders for many years as well as Govoni's Market where she could often be found rolling tortellini with her friends. Doris continued to work until she was 90 years of age. Doris was a lifelong member of St. Ann's Church as well as member of the St. Ann's Society. Throughout her entire life she volunteered her time to serve food to those in need. Doris was an avid Boston sports fan and during her time at Oxford Place enjoyed watching the Patriots games with her friends. Doris loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, Jack and Reilly, whom she adored. The funeral and burial will be private. A memorial service of life will be held at a more appropriate time. Memorial donations may be made to St. Raymond of Penafort, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield, CT 06082-3594.
