Dorothy A. (Misiewicz) Bedard, 77, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 20, 2023 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Stanley and Anne (Dziewit) Misiewicz, she grew up in Chicopee and was a 1964 graduate of Chicopee High School and moved to West Springfield in 1972. Dorothy worked as a cook for the Springfield School System lunch program beginning in 1980, retiring in 2002.  She enjoyed candlepin bowling, ceramics, crocheting, knitting and many other crafts. She had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden.  She leaves four sons and their wives, William J. and Patricia Bedard of Sutton, MA, James R. and Ellen Bedard of Dunedin, FL, Thomas R. and Traci Bedard of East Longmeadow, David M. and Patty Bedard of Clermont, FL, her former husband, William J. Bedard of Longmeadow, a brother, Thomas and Diane Misiewicz of Millbury, MA, and six grandchildren, Zachary, Jillian, Noah, Sofia, Emma and Lily Bedard. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11am at St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Gemma section in West Springfield.  Calling hours are Wednesday from 6-8pm at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield.
