Dorothy Jean
Jones
May 20, 1954 – May 26, 2023
Dorothy "Dottie" Jones, 69, died peacefully May 26, 2023 with her loving family by her side. She was born May 20, 1954 to the late Robert and Mary Holmes. She was raised in Agawam along with four of her siblings and was educated at Agawam High school. She met the love of her life Clifford E. Jones, Jr. at the age of 16 and have been in love ever since. She worked at Geissler's Super Market as a Deli Manager and then worked at Stop & Shop as a Deli Clerk and made beautiful, loyal friends along the way. She always knew how to make any situation better with comedy and tried her best to make sure everyone she loved was in high spirits and always safe. She loved music and her Elvis dearly. Her laugh was so contagious; She believed "laughter" is the best medicine", and she truly lived by that quote all the way through-out her life. She loved watching NASCAR with all of her family and friends and had NASCAR tournaments, go to the Fish and Game Club on Friday or Saturdays and throw little house parties and events just to get the whole family together. She loved cooking for an army and was known for her famous meatballs in the crockpot and fish fry she made for her husband and his dear friends. She will greatly be missed but her spirit is always with us. She will leave behind so many supportive and loving family and friends including her siblings, Judy, Bobby, Richard "Dickie", Gary; her daughter, Kelly, son-in-law, Jose, her grandchildren, Cody, Dylan, Nate, Jake, Andy, Brittian, her nephews and nieces, Randy, Sr., Randy,Jr., Roger, Kristin, Lori, Steve, Anissa, Jon, Emma and Jonathan. There will be a private service at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her loving husband, Clifford E. Jones, Jr. We love and miss you Mama.
