Dorothy J. (Loopley) Link, 96, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 27, 2024.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Walter and Lavina (Bienia) Loopley, she grew up in West Springfield and was a graduate of West Springfield High School.  Dorothy was a sefl-employed upholsterer, and enjoyed doing Arts and Craft projects.  She was artistic and did many paintings.  Dorothy was an avid candlepin bowler.  She appeared on television bowling, winning many times.  She still holds the house record of a 193 at Canal Bowling Lanes.  She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Link, Jr.  She leaves her son, Steven Link and his wife Mary of West Springfield, a daughter, Roxann Link of Greenfield, a daughter, Gail Armata and her husband Jim of Westfield, her older brother, Frank Loopley of Hampton Beach, NH.  She also leaves five grandchildren, Heather, Katie, Robert, Samantha and Jacob, and four great-grandchildren, Aubree, Tessa, Hazel and Evelyn, five nieces, Marleene, Linda, Sherry, Christine and Lori.  Calling hours are Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 10am-12pm at Curran Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield with a Funeral Home Service at 12.
