Dorothy E. (Paquette) Rondeau, 103, passed on March 20 at home. She was born in Fairview on February 5, 1914 to Eva and William Paquette. She lived most of her life in Chicopee, South Hadley and DelRay Beach, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Edward Rondeau, daughter-in-law Colleen Rondeau, granddaughter Brenda Goff and sister Edna Hamel. She leaves her two sons Raymond Rondeau, Bruce Rondeau and his wife Susanne of Hadley and daughter Cecile Rondeau of Chicopee. She also leaves her sisters Jeannette Arpin, Lorraine Goyette both of Chicopee and brother William Paquette of Holyoke, 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She led a good life and she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, Mah Jongg, Bingo, doing word find puzzles and reading. She said her rosary daily and attended church. Dorothy worked most of her life with her husband the founder and owner of the original Masse's Fish Market. She claims her long life is due to her heritage and eating junk food and deserts. Visiting hours will be at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St., S. Hadley on Tuesday March 28 th from 9:00 am to 10:30 am followed by Mass in St. Patrick's Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Rose Cemetery in South Hadley. In lieu of flowers you can give to either the Holyoke Hospice Care, St. Jude's or the Shriners Children Hospital in her name.
