WEST SPRINGFIELD – Dorothy (Worden) Sandy, 93, passed away peacefully Friday, July 26, 2013. She was born in Springfield, grew up in West Springfield, graduating from West Springfield High School before moving to Westfield, where she became the store manager at the former Albert Steiger & Company. Dorothy's positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Jeanne Hill of West Springfield and her son Chuck Sandy of Spencer; her grandchildren, Jennifer Field, Jeremy Hill, Julia Sandy Boyle and Bryan Sandy. She will also be missed by her great grandchildren Emily, Benjamin, and Matthew Field. She was predeceased by a son William in 1992 and her brother Gordon Worden. May God Bless her soul. A graveside service will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery and there are no calling hours. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
