WEST SPRINGFIELD – Dorothy M. (Wood) Spencer, 89 formerly of Monastery Heights and Springfield died Friday in a local nursing home. Dorothy was born in Hartland, VT and has lived in the Springfield area most of her life. She worked at the Lockman Restaurant until her retirement in 1983. She leaves a son William O. Barbour of North Carolina; a daughter Judith Brummet of Texas; a stepdaughter Linda Bushey of Springfield; a sister Charlotte Harrington of Chicopee; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 1:00pm with burial at the convenience of the family. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
