FEEDING HILLS – Dorothy A. (Suffriti) Wodell, 96, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 21, 2021.  Born in West Springfield, daughter of the late Vincent and Emma (Ragazini) Suffriti, she was a 1949 graduate of Springfield Trade School and has lived in Agawam since 1949.  Dorothy had worked as a seamstress for Carter's Undergarments and while working there, she was an underwear model for a short time in New York City for Carter's. She was a fitness enthusiast and was an active member of Fitness First and did kickboxing until she was eighty-four years old. Everyone knew her as "the smiling grandma".  Her husband, Robert "Moe" Wodell died in 1998.  She leaves a son and his wife, Robert and Patricia Wodell of Feeding Hills, a daughter and her husband, Linda and Jadji Zaza of Ormond Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Alex Wodell, Emily Wodell, Malik Zaza, Ramzy Zaza and two great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Suffriti and Everett Suffriti. The funeral will be Saturday at 10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Saturday from 9-10am.
