Douglas R. Scytkowski, 58, passed away Tuesday at home. Doug was born in Springfield, MA. He has lived in South Hadley most of his life. He was a retired Plater for Fountain Plating in West Springfield and served with the United States Marine Corps. He leaves his wife Adette "Dee" (Carter) Scytkowski; two children Raeburn and Kari Scytkowski; three grandchildren Kyle Gemme, Raeburn and Ryan Scytkowski; his parents Robert and Dorothy (Piantek); brother William and his wife Linda; sister Lynn Peters and her husband William. He will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb St. South Hadley Monday at 10:00am with Liturgy in St. Theresa's Church at 11:00am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranobrien.com.
